Who is The Collective?
The Black Temple Art Collective has curated and hand crafted every work in the Mistfit Art Gallery, often at great pains to themselves. Through intentional anonymity, they urge you to experience and interpret the art through your own lens and not just trust that something has value or meaning simply because someone else says so.
The Curator
The creator of the Black Temple is both founder, mentor and contributor and yet they remain a mystery to all – even themselves.
The Imp
Playful and mischievous, the Imp was the first to hear the Curators call. Their art embraces the wicked and joyful child within us all.
The Storyteller
Whether telling truth or fable, the Storyteller’s contributions always contain a deeper meaning.
The Changeling
A creature in a constant state of transition, the Changeling’s art reflects their endless transformation into something new.
The Audiologist
It was the Curator that heard her call – a voice of passion and righteous anger whose canvas resembles furious hymns.
The Mystic
A seeker of truth and insight into the mysteries transcending ordinary human knowledge. Through self-surrender and contemplation of what is beyond this mortal existence, the Mystic uses their intuition in a state of spiritual openness and ecstasy.
The Naturalist
With a heart forged in nature, the Naturalist has found their new temple among the trees.
The Crow
Wise and haunted, the crow observes from angles previously unknown, never forgets her enemies, and embraces the beauty in death.
The Lorekeeper
The seeker of the deepest mysteries, despite the dark paths they take. The Lorekeeper yearns for narrative even where there is none.
Who or What is a Sage Turk?
A name, a title, and an honorific – Sage Turk is a collective label used by several members of The Collective to both preserve and embrace their shared purpose and identity.
It is also a clue.
